Below are a few reasons why ICT is used to enhance children's language and development learning.

 

It is important that children have the basic foundation to adapt to a classroom environment or inclusion. Therefore, the use of ICT - Available Technology, Programs, Tools such as presentation, mind maps, etc are very useful for teaching and acquiring the skills needed in life.

Reading

​Children with visual impairment is unable to read books or other fine print materials even the computer for that instance, but with the help of a program or technology, children are able to use those tools to read and write. Other tools used for these children are voice recordings. Children can record their work and upload to the computers.

Listening & Communicating

With the use of ICT, children can learn to communicate with other children and share resources online using twitter or blogs. Another way to teach children with speech delays is by listening to audio books that are read to them by the computer or a recorded voice.

Writing

Some children have problem holding a pencil and by using a keyboard and a computer, children can learn to type out words and express their feelings. For children with poor vision, a program on the computer can read out words so children are able to hear what they type.
