GET INVOLVED

Parents play an important role in scaffolding and enforcing children's learning at home. Through the use of ICT, parents can communicate with teachers and monitor their child's work and progress online via the schools website or other means provided by the school. Parents are constantly being up to date with the latest news and reports almost instantly.

PARENTS

Children learn best when they are engaged in an activity. More so, children are easily distracted when they are unable to comprehend or understand what they are learning because of their unique abilities and learning styles. ICT provides opportunity for independent learners, active participants in inclusion classrooms or sheltered instruction programs, but most importantly, to keep up with peers and achieve their full academic potential.

STUDENTS

As an educator, you know that the classrooms of the 21st century are filled with diverse learners. You tailor your teaching to meet the needs of those learners by using differentiated instruction and other strategies through ICT. A “one-size-fits-all” approach to teaching simply does not work; every child, not just the students with disabilities, is different from another. Educators must adjust their curricula to fit their students and they must also have access to learningin the way that works best for them. Every child can learn and every child has the right to appropriate instruction.
