BACKGROUND

Sunshine School is a school for Special Children. It is a Non-Governmental School that teaches children Language and Development. Children come from various walks of life and culture with unique character and abilities.

The school has children with Speech and Visual Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and others.

Our curriculum focuses on the children's individual needs and zone of proximal development (ZPD) by using assistive ICT tools to aid their learning. How can ICT help children with learning disabilities?

ICT is an incorporation of the "old learning" using new and improved methods that is engaging, interactive and meaningful through the use of various resources such as computers, programs, interactive boards, electronic games, and many others.

Sunshine School uses a particular program called Kurzweil that has many unique setting skills for Language Development.

ICT is also a fast and easy way to communicate with parents and teachers through the school's website, emails, class chat rooms and etc.

We strive to bring out the best of children's abilities to cope and adapt in society and in life as well as to prepare them for school.
